Bellview Driving School — Lesson Package Terms

A Bellview Driving School offers three lesson packages: a Starter Package of five one-hour lessons for £175, a Standard Package of ten lessons for £320, and an Intensive Package of twenty lessons taken over one or two weeks for £600, the last of which is only available to learners who have already passed their theory test. Single lessons can also be booked individually at £38 per hour, though package rates work out cheaper per lesson the larger the package. B All package fees must be paid in full before the first lesson, except the Intensive Package, which can be split into two payments: half before the first lesson and half by the start of the second week. Package lessons do not expire, and any unused lessons remain valid indefinitely and can be used with a different instructor if a learner's usual instructor is unavailable or the learner requests a change. C A lesson cancelled with at least 48 hours' notice can be rescheduled at no charge; a lesson cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice is charged in full unless the reason is the instructor's own cancellation, sudden illness supported by a doctor's note, or genuinely severe weather that the school itself judges unsafe for driving lessons that day, in which case it is rescheduled free of charge regardless of notice given. D Learners are picked up from and dropped off at an address of their choice within the school's normal operating area, typically within eight miles of the school's office; a pickup further than this is possible by arrangement but carries a small additional charge to cover the extra driving time. Bellview's own dual-control cars are used for every lesson; learners may not use their own car for a lesson under any circumstances, since instructor insurance only covers the school's vehicles. E The school's pass rate, published on its website and updated quarterly, is calculated only from learners who completed at least fifteen hours of lessons with Bellview before their test, since the school considers a pass rate based on learners who took only a handful of lessons before testing elsewhere to be a misleading measure of teaching quality.
