IELTS Prep Hub is an independent, free study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, or Cambridge University Press & Assessment, who jointly own and administer the IELTS test.

“IELTS” is a registered trademark of those organisations. We use the name only to describe the exam this site helps you prepare for, which is nominative fair use. Nothing here is official IELTS material, and using this site is not a substitute for registering for the real test.

Band scores here are practice estimates, not predictions

Any band number this site shows you is an unofficial practice estimate. It is generated automatically from your answers and is not a predicted or guaranteed IELTS result.

For Listening and Reading we scale your score onto the published 40-question band conversion tables. Because our practice sections are shorter than a full exam paper, the estimate is coarser than a real test result and small differences should not be read as meaningful.

Writing and Speaking responses are assessed automatically against the published band descriptors, with a score and comment for each criterion. This is machine assessment, not an examiner's judgement, and it can be wrong — treat it as feedback on what to work on rather than a prediction of your result.

Speaking Pronunciation is not assessed at all. It is judged from your voice, and we only read a transcript of what you said, so we report the other three criteria and leave it out rather than guess. A real IELTS Speaking band averages four criteria, not three. Only a certified examiner can assess your Writing and Speaking.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for the activity on your account. Please give accurate information when you sign up, and don't share your account with others. You can stop using the service at any time.

Acceptable use

Please don't attempt to disrupt the service, access other users' data, scrape the content library in bulk, or republish our material as your own. We may suspend accounts that do.

Service provided as-is

This is a free service offered without warranty. We can't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or remove features as the platform develops. We are not liable for outcomes based on your use of the site — including exam results.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service grows. The “last updated” date above will always reflect the current version.
